December/January 2022Vol. 22, No. 11Series Provides Strategies for Building Capacity

A training series from the National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare provides strategies for building collaborative teams among professionals working in child welfare, substance use treatment, the court system, and health care as well as other community organizations. The training, called the Building Collaborative Capacity Series, was designed to help agencies collaborate to better serve families affected by substance use disorders (SUDs).

The series is composed of seven modules that provide a framework for establishing collaborative teams and highlights strategies to improve the identification of SUDs and access to assessment and treatment. The modules, which present information via free PDFs, build upon each other and are best used as a comprehensive training series.

Explore the series and share it with your colleagues. It is available for free on the National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare website
