March 2013Vol. 14, No. 2Fostering Connections Factsheets

The Training and Technical Assistance Coordination Center (TTACC) published a series of eight factsheets providing information and support to States and Tribes as they work toward implementing the Fostering Connections to Success and Increasing Adoptions Act of 2008. Each one covers a topic area related to a specific Fostering Connections provision. A synopsis of the provision and a discussion of allowable funding and costs for that provision are included in each two-page factsheet.

The series also describes the spectrum of services that the Children's Bureau offers through its National Resource Centers and Implementation Centers to help States and Tribes better implement the law. These services include training, technical assistance, research, and consultation. The factsheets cover topic areas such as:

  • Developing and Negotiating Tribal Title IV-E Plans and Agreements
  • Supporting Youth in Transition
  • Providing Health Care Oversight and Coordination
  • Understanding Adoption Incentives, Adoption Assistance, and the Adoption Tax Credit

The series of factsheets is available on TTACC's website:
