March 2014Vol. 15, No. 3Child Welfare Information Gateway Subscription Services

Child Welfare Information Gateway, an information service of the Children's Bureau, provides a variety of free subscription services with information on the interrelated fields of child abuse and neglect, child welfare, and adoption. In addition to Children's Bureau Express, Information Gateway's subscriptions offer up-to-date child welfare information, publications, research, news, and more. For instance, Child Welfare in the News offers subscribers a daily listing of news articles of interest to child welfare workers, administrators, and related professionals. Other subscription services include the following:

  • Adoption Triad: A monthly brief of practical information to help build adoption professionals' capacity to identify, recruit, and retain families. It also presents resources on all aspects of adoption for professionals to share with triad members—birth parents, adopted people, and adoptive parents.
  • Child Welfare Information Gateway E-lert!: A monthly newsletter that highlights new publications and resources distributed by Child Welfare Information Gateway or featured on the website on a variety of topics such as child abuse and neglect, prevention, and adoption.
  • My Child Welfare Librarian: A monthly email that contains publications and/or websites from the Information Gateway library based on personal/topical selections.
